Jim Poggemeyer

Jim has over 33 years of experience in all aspects of the construction industry with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management. As General Manager of Hawk Construction he performs much of the estimating activity and provides oversight of projects throughout design and construction. Jim works closely with both the design and construction teams to insure smooth transitions from design to construction and ultimately project completion. A highlight of Jim’s career was the receipt of the Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award given by the Associated General Contractors of America. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children.

Brock Maddox - Production Manager

Brock started out in the industry 22 years ago framing custom homes from the ground up. He was hired on with Hawk Construction in 2006 and began his career in remodeling, beginning as a lead carpenter for seven years before becoming a Project Manager. He is currently the Production Manager at Hawk Construction and enjoys all aspects of management/remodeling and the challenges that can come up in the remodeling of a home and finding a solution to meet the needs of the client. Brock is a Colorado native and enjoy snowboarding with his wife and their two teenage sons.

Beth Marlin - Preconstruction

Beth has been involved in design and construction for 44 years. Her career was concentrated in the Commercial Real Estate industry, in Chicago and central states where she coordinated full scope construction and design projects. Early in her career she started as an Interior Designer with Architectural firms and continued her experience working as a General Contractor which led to Project Management for Developers and Corporate Owners. She believes that when you are in the right field, the corporate culture and people are the most important. Outside of work, Beth enjoys art, pottery, biking and skiing. She also makes jewelry and loves working with all types of semi-precious stones and fossils. Beth plans on retiring soon and helping teach kids how to read.

Karen Dickens - Bookkeeping

Karen joined Hawk in 2019 after selling the moving business owned by her and her husband.  She was new to the construction industry but brought broad business experience to her position.  She was quite familiar with Hawk even before seeking employment with us.  She hired Hawk over 20 years ago to remodel two bathrooms and do drywall repairs/painting in other areas.  She thinks the best thing about her job is her co-workers!  Everyone is friendly, hard-working and helpful!

When not at work, Karen enjoys golfing and walking.  She also enjoys spending time with her husband and kitties.
